How many people can join the private Shala River boat tour?

The private boat can accommodate groups of up to 8 people. The entire boat is reserved exclusively for your group, so you will not share it with other travelers.

Can we choose how we spend our time during the private tour?

Yes. One of the main advantages of a private tour is having more flexibility. You can spend your time swimming, taking photos, relaxing, or exploring Shala River according to your group’s preferences, while following the agreed itinerary with our crew.

Is the 250€ price per person or per boat?

It's a flat price for the whole private boat, for up to 8 people, so the more people in your group, the lower the cost per person.

Can we stop for photos during the private boat trip?

Yes. The private tour includes scenic stops where you can take photos and enjoy the surrounding landscapes. The boat captain can also help you find good viewpoints along the route.

Does the private tour include lunch at Shala River?

No. Lunch is not included in the €250 private boat price. There are local restaurants and guesthouses at Shala River where you can purchase food and drinks during your free time.

What time should we arrive at Komani Lake for the private tour?

You should arrive at the designated meeting point at Koman Lake by 11:00 AM for check-in. The private boat departs at approximately 11:30 AM, so we recommend arriving a little early to allow enough time for boarding.

Yes. You can bring personal food and drinks with you. Please make sure to keep the boat and natural surroundings clean and take any rubbish with you.

Does the private tour include transportation to Komani Lake?

No, the private boat tour starts at Komani Lake, so transportation to the meeting point is not included. If you need a private transfer, you can also arrange our taxi transfer service from Shkoder, Tirana, Lezhe, Durres or Tirana International Airport to Komani Lake.

What happens if the weather turns bad on tour day?

Since the route runs through a sheltered canyon, tours operate in most weather conditions. In genuinely unsafe conditions we offer a full refund or rescheduling.

We'd recommend booking a few days ahead, especially in July and August, since private boats get reserved quickly during peak season.
